East Side Sol Brings a Community Celebration to the Museum

The Charlotte Museum of History will celebrate East Charlotte and Hispanic Heritage Month with East Side Sol on Saturday, October 10, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The all-ages event is free to attend.

The announced program combines arts and crafts with activities, historic games and guided visits to the 1774 Rock House and Siloam School. It offers families a way to move between making something, trying something and learning about the places around them.

The day also provides an opportunity to see ¡Pleibol! In the Barrios and the Big Leagues before the exhibition closes October 18. For visitors who have been meaning to catch it, the approaching closing date gives this museum trip an additional reason to happen.

Plan for an afternoon with room to explore rather than a single stop. The mix of tours and hands-on activities allows different interests to shape the visit.

The museum is at 3500 Shamrock Drive. Find the program and updates on the official East Side Sol page (https://charlottemuseum.org/programs-events/events/sol26/).
