We focus on the people, performances, and places that give Charlotte its character. Our concert coverage pairs original photographs with clearly identified live reviews and photo features, giving readers both the story and a closer look at the stage.

Our editorial approach

Firsthand reviews reflect the writer’s experience at a performance. Photo features describe documented images and event context. Reader guides point to useful resources and are labeled separately. We credit photography, identify authors, and link to sources for background information.

Publication dates and event dates serve different purposes; both appear on our concert stories. We do not imply that a photo feature is a firsthand musical review. Any sponsored coverage or commercial relationship relevant to a story should be disclosed alongside it.

The photography

Scott Jelleyman of A&J Creative Photography provides the original concert photographs featured on the site. Images retain the photographed scene; conventional color, contrast, and sharpening adjustments support presentation.
