Confluence Music Fest Brings 45-Plus Artists Across Charlotte

Charlotte’s music scene will spread across NoDa, Plaza Midwood and South End when Confluence Music Fest runs October 8–10. More than 45 artists are on the lineup, with Thursday and Friday shows at independent venues before an outdoor finale at Suffolk Punch South End on Saturday.

The festival grows out of Confluence, a gathering for artists and music professionals that began in 2019 and returned in 2023. Its daytime conference runs October 7–9, covering the work behind the music. The evening showcases put that work on local stages.

This year’s artist lineup includes Ripe, Rising Appalachia, Shawn James, Lord Jah-Monte Ogbon, Modern Moxie and Te’jani. Shows are spread among venues including Neighborhood Theatre, The Evening Muse, Petra’s, Snug Harbor, The Music Yard and Amos’ Southend. That layout gives audiences a chance to explore artists and rooms across the city.

The festival closes October 10 at Suffolk Punch South End, with outdoor music beginning at 2 p.m. General admission for Saturday is free with registration. Three-day passes, individual-show tickets and Saturday VIP upgrades are also available; check the official schedule and ticket links when choosing a show.

For Charlotte music fans, Confluence offers a chance to hear familiar local names alongside artists they may discover for the first time—and to see the venues that help make those connections possible.
